Last week I took two free
IBM classes. They were:
IBM Workplace Collaboration Services Application Development
Introduction to the
IBM Workplace Client Technology
These were not marketing sessions. They did a great job at explaining how all the pieces fit together. There were opportunities to get your hands on the product and play with some code. They were also very candid about Workplace resource requirements. We were using desktop machines with 4 Gig of memory.
They were also very clear about Notes/Domino retaining a valued place in IBM's suite of offerings. They said Notes/Domino would continue to be developed alongside Workplace. It was clear that they're thinking about how to make Notes and Workplace work together.
